Corporate Website Development — Fast, Accessible and Citable
A corporate site now has to satisfy three audiences: prospects, accessibility regulators, and the AI systems that summarise you to prospects before they ever reach you. The third is new, and most corporate sites are not built for it.
We build marketing and corporate sites that load quickly, meet the accessibility bar that is now legally required in the European Union, and present information in the structured, extractable form that answer engines cite.
What we build
- Corporate and marketing sites — with an editing experience your marketing team can actually use without a developer for routine changes.
- Headless CMS implementations — content modelled around how you publish, rather than pages hand-assembled in a page builder.
- Multilingual and multi-region sites — with translation workflows that survive contact with a real content calendar.
- Investor, careers and compliance sections — the areas that carry disclosure and accessibility obligations.
- Migrations — off legacy platforms without losing accumulated search equity.
Being cited by AI answer engines
A growing share of research now happens inside AI assistants and AI-generated search summaries, where the outcome is not a ranked link but whether your page is quoted at all. That rewards a different kind of page: direct answers stated plainly near the top, self-contained sections that survive being extracted from their context, specific and verifiable claims rather than adjectives, and structured data that tells a machine what your organisation and services actually are.
Two operational details matter more than they sound. Your robots directives have to permit the AI crawlers you want citing you — several platforms and hosting providers now block them by default, which removes you from that channel regardless of content quality. And a sitemap that reflects the site as it currently exists, rather than as it did two years ago, remains the cheapest discovery fix available.
Accessibility is a legal requirement, not a nice-to-have
The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 2025, and its scope reaches a great deal of consumer-facing digital business. Penalty regimes are set nationally and vary considerably between member states. We build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a baseline: real semantic structure, keyboard operability, sensible focus handling, sufficient contrast and properly labelled forms.
We do not use accessibility overlay widgets. Regulators have taken enforcement action over marketing claims made for such products, and they do not reliably deliver conformance. The work has to happen in the markup.
Performance, measured honestly
We measure Core Web Vitals on real traffic rather than lab scores, because a synthetic pass on a fast laptop tells you very little about a mid-range phone on mobile data. In practice most corporate site performance problems are image discipline, third-party scripts and font loading, in that order — and marketing tags are usually the largest single contributor nobody wants to own.
Where we would push back
A brochure site of a few pages does not need a bespoke build or a headless architecture, and we will say so. Custom earns its cost with substantial content operations, multiple languages and regions, complex integration into CRM or marketing systems, or a design that genuinely cannot be expressed in a template.

Frequently asked questions
How do we get our site cited by AI assistants and AI search?
Write pages that answer questions directly near the top, keep sections self-contained so they survive being extracted from context, prefer specific verifiable claims over adjectives, and publish schema.org structured data describing your organisation and services. Then check the operational side: make sure your robots directives actually permit the AI crawlers, because several platforms and hosts block them by default, and make sure your sitemap reflects the site as it exists today.
Does the European Accessibility Act apply to our website?
It has applied since June 2025 and reaches a great deal of consumer-facing digital business in the European Union. Whether it captures your specific site is a legal question, but the engineering answer is the same either way: build to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Penalty regimes are national and vary considerably, so exposure depends on where you operate.
Can we just install an accessibility overlay widget?
We would advise against it. Regulators have taken enforcement action over marketing claims made for such products, and they do not reliably produce conformance. Real accessibility comes from semantic markup, keyboard operability, focus handling, contrast and properly labelled forms, none of which a script layered on afterwards can retrofit dependably.
Do we need a headless CMS?
Only if your content operation justifies it. Headless pays off with substantial publishing volume, multiple languages or regions, or content reused across a site, an app and third-party surfaces. For a brochure site of a few pages it adds operational complexity and cost without a corresponding benefit.
Will a redesign hurt our search rankings?
It can, and most of the damage in migrations comes from avoidable causes: URLs changed without redirects, metadata lost in the move, and content silently dropped. We map the existing URL inventory before rebuilding and carry redirects across, which is unglamorous work but the single largest determinant of whether traffic survives a relaunch.
